Hi! My name is Jeanah, and I am the owner of Dash of Pink. I’m happily engaged to my boyfriend of 7 years, David, and we are getting married in Nov 2019! I am also a mom to 3 furry kitties and active volunteer for rescuing and fostering cats here in Atlanta :)
Just a little bit of my life story... I’m originally from Korea and came to the U.S. during my freshman year in high school at Chapel Hill, NC and lived there for 2 years. Then I applied for a foreign exchange student program and got paired with an amazing family in a small town Rockmart, GA where I learned the lifestyle of an American family, and learned to speak English!
After high school, I went to Kennesaw State University in Georgia, not knowing what I even wanted to study. I tried chemistry, biology, political science... you name it! None of it was for me... then finally something caught my attention: International Business with Accounting concentration 😂 (I promise, it really was fun at the moment...)
After graduating college I was lucky enough to land a tax accounting job at Big 4. During my 7 years of accounting career, I started a blog on a Korean social web platform. Because designer brands are priced at over 2-3x more than retail prices in the U. S., there were crazy demands from people looking to score these items from overseas. I was already good at finding designer deals at amazing prices, so I would to hunt these deals and resell them on my blog. Fast forward one year later, my blog was blooming... and i came to a cross road: continue building this business or focus solely on my job to go up the ladder like everyone else. I chose the latter.
I was not happy. I always regretted giving it up. I wanted to start again but I was too afraid that I won’t be able to do a good job, or that I will regret giving up my CPA life that I worked so hard for in school.
Then I found Poshmark. Only after a few days of joining, my love for fashion began to resurface... and I could not get enough. I always wanted to be in a clothing retail business and was nervous about getting out of my comfort zone of being a CPA. After meeting the founders of Poshmark, amazing PFFs, and attending PoshFest 4 times, I finally decided to overcome my fear and do what I truly dreamed of: being able to curate contemporary, chic, and comfortable clothing that will empower women around the world.
So here I am, ready start this new chapter of my life, by helping all the ladies to feel pretty in their own skin with dash of pink in their closet 💕
I love it, Jeanah. I’m so proud of you!!
